Twilio, Asana to List on Long-Term Stock Exchange as ESG Push Continues

Twilio Inc., a $67 billion software company, and Asana Inc., a $10 billion cloud software company, are the first two companies to agree to dual-list their shares on the Long-Term Stock Exchange. Both companies and exchanges want the listing to signal a need to appeal to long-term investors, potentially spending hundreds of billions of dollars on funds dedicated to investing in ESG.

Amazon Commits $300 Million to Develop Affordable Housing

Amazon recently announced that it will be allocating $300 million towards the development of transit-oriented affordable housing units in several U.S cities. These investments are being made from Amazon’s $2 billion Housing Equity Fund that launched earlier this year aiming to preserve existing housing and create inclusive housing developments.

NGFS Publishes the Second Vintage of Climate Scenarios

The NGFS recently published the second vintage of the climate scenarios and a dedicated website, both aimed at fostering the integration of climate-related risks into the work of central banks and supervisors. The climate scenarios outline countries’ commitments to reach net-zero emissions while the website serves as a portal to all NGFS related publications and data. These NGFS scenarios provide a structure to evaluate the future economic and financial dangers that changes to our environment may bring.

KLP Pumps €200m Into Green Infrastructure with Macquarie

This comes as the pension giant intends to establish a green infrastructure debt platform to finance solar, wind, hydro and green energy storage.

American multinational chain, Starbucks, recently announced that its New York locations will soon be 70% solar-powered! The first 6 of 23 community solar power projects have recently been commissioned by Generate, a solar developer, as part of a multi-year facility with Starbucks. This portfolio of projects is expected to supply solar power for local Starbucks stores and up to 24,000 households, small businesses, universities, and many more.
